Original American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson has been talking for months about babies. The newly married singer has made it very clear that the present she wants for Christmas is a baby on the way. In nearly every interview she’s given lately, Kelly has been talking about how she ready she is to have a child with husband Brandon Blackstock. Now it seems like maybe she has gotten her wish!
On Jay Leno last night, Kelly was all about the babies again, telling the talk show host she and her hubby have been working hard to get pregnant. “Practice makes perfect!” Kelly said. Of course, Jay Leno had to ask if Kelly might already be knocked up.
Beyonce was on hand at the presidential inauguration on Monday to perform the National Anthem but instead decided to go with a pre-recorded performance. While Beyonce has not admitted directly that she mouthed the words to the song the confirmation instead came from Kristin DuBois, Public Affairs Chief For The Marine Band.
“All music is pre-recorded for the ceremony because there are so many eventualities and conditions that day. We performed, live, the band. But we received last-minute word that Beyonce was going to use the pre-recorded vocal track. Those were the instructions we were given. We don’t know what the reason why,” DuBois told PageSix.
While pre-recorded performances are commonplace at the inauguration another big name singer managed to perform live. Kelly Clarkson had no trouble stepping up to the challenge, DuBois explained to HollywoodLife. “It’s not because she couldn’t sing, something had to have happened that prevented her from doing that. Kelly Clarkson did sing live and the band accompanied her.”
You can watch both performances below and see who you think did it better. Beyonce or Kelly Clarkson?

Electronics retailer Best Buy told Kelly Clarkson that she couldn’t buy iPod Shuffles for a charity drive, sending her into rant mode on Facebook about the store’s apparent policy to limit the number of iPods sold to any one customer.
Luckily, a rep from Best Buy saw her rant, and informed Kelly that there was no such policy, and that the location she tried to shop at had been in error for not selling her the iPods. Â A formal apology was issued, and not only did Best Buy allow Kelly to buy all the iPods she wanted, but they donated a lot more iPods to her charity as a gesture.
Last night on American Idol, Kelly Clarkson and Kanye West were the guest musical performers. Kanye sucked as usual, and will be PISSED if he reads this. Look for some ALL CAPS posts from Sir West shortly.
As for Kelly, she looked like she might be in the family way on the Idol stage, even though she told Ryan Seacrest she was single AND available. Kelly’s weight has always yo-yo’d.
The net has been buzzing about the rumor… which is probably not what her label had in mind when Kelly performed her new single “My Life Would Suck Without You” from her new album.

Kelly dodged Ryan’s questions about who the song was written about, but obviously Kelly is pining over someone. Kelly would probably blab if she WAS preggers, as she DID reveal to Blender magazine her bizarre belief that everyone is guilty of peeing in the shower, and anyone who denies urinating during their bathing ritual is “lying”. Kelly also analyzes her snot for illness.
This means Kelly pees in the shower, and would make someone an earthy bride. So, there’s that. Pregnant women DO go all the time, but the snot thing is just crazy. A bit Too Much Information, Kelly.
Kelly Clarkson has delivered her new video for her single “My Life Would Suck Without You”, from her long-awaited 4th album “All I Ever Wanted.” Kelly looks and sounds awesome! She admits her album cover was photoshopped a bit, but she doesn’t care. Neither do we. Enjoy!
The day after tomorrow is the day we celebrate the biggest Gift ever given in history. Christmas, the day of hope, joy, and the greatest love of all. I wish you the merriest of Christmases, hope even in these times of trouble, and joy that comes not from things, but from blessings much more profound. Here’s Kelly Clarkson singing “My Grownup Christmas List”, one of my favorite modern Christmas songs. This has been an incredible year, and you’ve all played a BIG part. Thank you, bless you, and may 2009 be your best year ever!
