Lindsay Lohan has been ordered to seek private counseling and if she doesn’t, she could be headed back to jail. Lohan was back in court today for a progress hearing and the judge in her case was none too pleased about how the troubled starlet has been following court orders.
So far, Lindsay Lohan has completed only 33 hours of community service out of a court-ordered 480 hours. “She can’t be nickel and diming these hours,” Judge Stephanie Sautner told Lohan’s attorney. “I know there is a movie deal. I will not take into consideration — ‘sorry, I”m at the Gotti movie’ — I will not do it. She needs to complete the community service within the year.”
Judge Sautner also warned Lindsay Lohan that the probation department needs to be able to contact her with a working phone number when they try to reach her.
Lohan’s worst problem, the judge said, is that she has failed to begin sessions with a private therapist. “She needs to get into counseling, and I am going to give her 21 days to get into counseling,” Sautner said. Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Holley, claimed his client was worried about the cost of private counseling and whether or not she would be covered by her insurance.
Judge Sautner was having none of it, however, and said Lohan “needs to find an individual therapist that takes a credit card.” If Lohan has not shown she has enrolled in a therapy program within 21 days, Sautner said she would revoke her probation. She also said Lohan must complete three more anti-shoplifting classes before she returns to court on October 19.
Lindsay Lohan has left rehab after only 23 days of treatment. The troubled starlet was originally sentenced to serve 90 days at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, but doctors at the rehab clinic believed Lohan was ready for early release.
Actress Lindsay Lohan went immediately into rehab on August 2 after a two week stay in jail for violating her probation from a DUI case in 2007. An unidentified source told People magazine that Lohan was “out and doing really well.”
According to doctors at the rehab facility, they believe Lohan does not suffer from ADHD or bipolar disorder, as had been earlier reported. They also believe improperly prescribed ADHD drug Adderall may have been partially to blame for her erratic behavior.
Lohan will reportedly be continuing treatment with UCLA’s outpatient program. She will also be required by the judge in her case to undergo random drug testing and attend a 12-step program. The actress has previously spent time in rehab at the Wonderland Center, Promises Treatment Center and the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center. We can only hope this time around will be her last.
Lindsay Lohan posted $200,000 in bail money on Tuesday to avoid a trip back to jail for suspicion of violating a court order not to drink alcohol. A bench warrant was issued for Lohan after her alcohol detection bracelet went off at an MTV Movie Awards after party.
Lohan was ordered to wear the SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring) bracelet last month until she returns to court in July over a 2007 DUI conviction.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel issued a new bench warrant for Lohan after her SCRAM bracelet “indicated the presence of a small amount of alcohol,” according to the troubled starlet’s attorney.
In exchange for recalling the warrant, Judge Revel ordered Lindsay Lohan to post a new $200,000 bond to keep out of jail.
Lohan continues to deny she consumed any alcohol and “has been in complete compliance with all of the terms of her probation and her bail,” her attorney said in a press statement.
The papz everywhere are thanking heaven that Lindsay Lohan is in trouble with the law, TOPPED with a big old catfight between Li-Lo and SamRo. Ay, Dios. This is the good stuff. With the real possibility of jail! Roll ’em!
The cops were called to Lindsay and SamRo’s house, (which is actually SamRo’s house.) Sam and Lindsay had a nuclear fight, and some priceless piece of swag got thrown out the window.
Ruh Roh, Li-Lo is in BIG trouble again, and the po-po are looking for her! Beverly Hills police said an arrest warrant has been issued for Lindsay Lohan stemming from her 2007 conviction for drunk-driving.
The $50,000 warrant was issued by the Beverly Hills Superior Court, the police said in a statement issued on Friday. They declined to state the reason for the issuance of the warrant.
“It is our hope that Ms. Lohan will surrender herself so that this matter can be resolved in a timely manner,” Beverly Hills police Lieutenant Mark Rosen said in a statement.
In November 2007, Lindsay spent 84 whole minutes behind bars for a drunk-driving and coke possession conviction. She had been arrested the previous May after she wrecked her car in Beverly Hills and again in July following a car chase in the Los Angeles beach community of Santa Monica.
Did the leggings-queen violate probation? Was she driving on a suspended license? Did she miss a court date? Did she run over SamRo? Answers will come soon, my children. Snarkista is on it.
