If all the rumors about Mariah Carey being pregnant over the years had been true, she’d have popped out a dozen kids by now. So until we have official word from Carey and husband Nick Cannon that the diva is indeed knocked up, we’re taking this latest pregnancy rumor with a hefty grain of salt.
Mariah Carey sent the baby rumor mill into full speed again last week when her rep announced she would be dropping out of Tyler Perry‘s new film. “She is not doing the movie because her doctor advised her not to,” Carey’s rep told Us Weekly.
Now a source allegedly close to Carey and Cannon has reportedly told the tabloid the pop diva is expecting – for real this time. “Mariah’s in the first stages of pregnancy,” the source claims.
RadarOnline.com is also claiming Mariah Carey is really pregnant this time, despite any official confirmation from the couple or their reps. “They’re both very excited and very happy,” Radar Online claims a pal of the couple said. “Mariah and Nick want to keep the pregnancy quiet as long as they can.”
Mariah Carey rep Cindi Berger did not deny the pregnancy rumors when asked, but refused to comment on the story, saying only that she is “not at liberty to discuss Mariah’s personal life at this time.”
