Biggest Loser Winner Drops 129 lbs, Can’t Wait to Wear Bikini

The Biggest Loser winner Olivia Ward lost an astounding 129 pounds to take victory on the show’s season 11 live finale last night. The opera singer just barely managed to edge out her own sister, Hannah Curlee, who came in second with a total weight loss of 120 pounds. Ward weighed in at 261 pounds at the start of the season.

“For such a long time, I didn’t even let myself imagine winning,” Olivia Ward told People magazine. “I will say the last few weeks I was really pushing towards the finish line and I thought about that confetti!”

Well, we probably would have been thinking about that massive $250,000 prize money instead — but that wouldn’t be nearly so humble to say. Ward says she’s very excited about the prospect of finally being cast for those ‘sexpot roles’ instead of the humorous or matronly roles she has previously been saddled with. To which, we have to say, there are ‘sexpot’ opera roles? We had no idea…

New career opportunities aside, Ward is also thrilled to get her new slimmer bod to the beach as soon as possible. “I’m so excited to try on a bathing suit and not want to kill myself first,” Ward told Us Weekly after the finale last night.

In a true act of love, Ward’s husband also dropped over 100 pounds while his wife was slaving away to lose weight on the ranch. Now that, honey, is a man you want to keep!

Ousted ‘Biggest Loser’ Contestant Rebecca Mayer Dating Daniel Wright

The Biggest Loser contestant Rebecca Meyer appeared on The Jay Leno Show Tuesday and dropped a bombshell. Meyer may have lost a lot of weight on The Biggest Loser before she was voted off, but she gained a boyfriend!

Turns out Rebecca Meyer is now dating fellow Biggest Loser contestant Daniel Wright, who was given a second chance on the show this year. We kind of saw that coming when she totally lost it the night Daniel was eliminated.

“Daniel was my best friend, is my best friend,” Meyer told Jay Leno, “and leaving the show we talked for like five, six-hour conversations and then, you know, he told me he had feelings.”

Looking like a movie star after her Biggest Loser makeover, Meyer said the two have a strong connection because they “have gone through the same thing. I mean, he’s gone through an even more intense version of it, and I fell in love with my best friend.”

Meyer and Wright aren’t the first couple to fall for each other because of The Biggest Loser. Former contestants Matt and Suzy Hoover met on the second season of Biggest Loser and married a year later. They now have two children.

We hope Rebecca and Daniel can find the same kind of happiness together!

‘The Biggest Loser’ Resort Offers Grown-Up Fat Camp Torture

NBC Universal knows how to cash in on a hit. The company has a zillion products on the market taking advantage of The Biggest Loser brand name. Now they have launched two new ventures, The Biggest Loser video game and The Biggest Loser Resort.

Fans of the show who have an insane wish to go through the same kind of torture suffered by contestants can now shell out $2000 a week to ‘vacation’ at The Biggest Loser Resort in southern Utah. For big bucks, folks can have their calories restricted to 1200 a day and be beaten to a pulp by personal trainers. Call it a grown up Fat Camp.

According to resort co-owner Tami Clark, the diet and exercise routines closely mimic those on The Biggest Loser. Which means you can pay them crazy amounts of money to throw up in front of your friends, pass out, weep uncontrollably, injury yourself severely and – oh yeah – hopefully lose lots of weight.

If that’s a bit too rough for you, you can opt to buy yourself a copy of The Biggest Loser Wii and Nintendo DS fitness game. We’re sure you’ll burn plenty of calories unwrapping it, using it once and then hiding it on a shelf under your giant box of double-stuffed Oreos.
