Tiger Woods ESPN and Golf Channel Interviews Boring and Pointless

Tiger Woods ESPN and Golf Channel interviews lasted all of five minutes and revealed little new information about the sex scandal that nearly ended his marriage to Elin Nordegren and left a nasty stain on his legendary career. Woods’ interviews with ESPN and the Golf Channel are the first he’s given since his bizarre Nov. 27 car crash that eventually led to the revelation of his affairs with various alleged mistresses.

In two interviews with on Sunday, Tiger Woods was asked 21 questions by Golf Channel anchor Kelly Tilghman and ESPN reporter Tom Rinaldi.  The interviews aired simultaneously after a PGA Tour event. CBS, which broadcasts the Masters, reportedly turned down an interview, allegedly because the network was not happy with the five minute time limit. Tiger Woods announced last week he would be returning to golf at the Masters Tournament in August on April 5.

One of the most pointed questions in the interview came from ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi, who asked Tiger Woods why he ever got married to Elin Nordegren in the first place. “Why? Because I loved her,” Woods responded. “I loved Elin with everything I have. And that’s something that makes me feel even worse. That I did this to someone I love that much.”
