Breaking Dawn Wedding Dress for Sale to Rabid Fans

Want to walk down the aisle looking just like Bella Swan from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1? Just have to have the Breaking Dawn wedding dress for your very own strange and possibly disturbing reason? Well now you can! Yes indeed, the official replica Bella Swan Breaking Dawn wedding gown is now on sale at Alfred Angelo stores nationwide for a relatively inexpensive $799.

The official Breaking Dawn wedding dress replica, designed by Michael Shettel, is inspired by the Carolina Herrera original gown worn by Kristen Stewart in Breaking Dawn during the Bella and Edward wedding scene. The dress and matching shoes retail for approximately $800 and have been officially sanctioned by Summit Entertainment. The original dress was made of silk, but the ‘Twilight Bridal’ replica is made of satin. The dress will be available in sizes from 0 to 30W.

Hererra will also include her version of the gown in her 2012 collection and sell it in her CHNY boutiques next year. No word on how many of those gowns will be produced or how much they will cost.

The Alfred Angelo Breaking Dawn wedding gown replica dress features “a dramatic plunging cut-out illusion back detailed with a soft Chantilly-inspired lace appliqué trim and full-length lace trimmed sleeves, self-fabric-covered buttons and a Chapel train,” according to a press release.

Herrera’s original Breaking Dawn wedding dress design was inspired by the gown worn by Bella Swan in the book. “I was called by Stephenie Meyer. We had to discuss a lot, but I was very inspired by her book and the description of the wedding,” Herrera said at the Breaking Dawn premiere. “I was very flattered I was asked to do it; it’s a big scene for me.”

Twilight on Track to Break Records

Less than 24-hours after it opened, Twilight is on track to have the second highest-grossing opening weekend in 2011. Breaking Dawn – Part 1 is set to take in $65 to $75 million this weekend after being released at midnight last night. It’s inaugural midnight show alone brought in #30.3 million. Breaking Dawn  has a big enough following that it’s already taking business away from other films out this weekend.

Until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 was released this summer, the last two Twilight movies set records for best midnight performance.  Deathly Hallows earned $43.6 million for its midnight showings, making Breaking Dawn number two in terms of all-time midnight best.

As if you need us to tell you, the film stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

Twilight Actors Cemented in Hollywood

As if their names and their movie franchise wouldn’t give them enough star power, Twilight saga stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattison and Taylor Lautner are officially cemented in Hollywood history. The group each put their hand- and foot-prints in cement on the Walk of Fame outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Each actor took turns saying a few words – some less awkwardly than others – thanking their fans and their franchise. “This is such an incredible honor,”  Pattison gushed, “how young we are, it’s kind of ridiculous and amazing at the same time.”

After that, each star signed their names in the wet cement and left and hand- and foot-print behind in a section labeled “The Twilight Saga.” And of course, after the ceremony the trio was on hand to sign autographs for hundreds and hundreds of screaming fans.

Is Twilight’s Taylor Lautner the Next Big Action Star?

Twilight: New Moon star Taylor Lautner will reportedly be kicking ass and taking names in the upcoming action movie Cancun. The Twilight saga hottie will rely heavily on his background in martial arts training for the new action flick, which will be produced by Twilight film studio Summit Entertainment.

Cancun will tell the story of a young man who loses his dream of becoming an elite soldier due to an injury. Instead, Taylor Lautner’s character will head off to college. During a spring break trip in Cancun, his friends are kidnapped by evil drug runners and he’ll have to use his mad martial arts skills to rescue them.

“We wanted to continue working with Taylor and feel he’s got the chops to become a big action star,” production partner Wyck Godfrey said. The movie is expected to start filming by mid 2010.

Sounds a bit cheesy really, but we’re sure the film will probably include a lot of muscular action and probably some shirtless Taylor Lautner all over the place. So, really, little to no actual plot is probably not the important.

Lautner is also starring in the upcoming flick Valentine’s Day, set for release in February. The Twilight star is also reportedly closing in on a deal to play a superhero based on the Max Steel comic book.
