‘New Moon’ Taylor Lautner Doll is Hot!

We’re still a bit on the fence as to the whole Team Edward/Team Jacob thing, but one thing we will admit – the new Taylor Lautner doll is way hotter than the Robert Pattinson Barbie! We’re not even going to say anything nice about the Kristen Stewart one, because, well, it sucks.

Barbie previously released Bella Swan and Edward Cullen Barbie dolls, which went on sale Nov. 1. Now the legendary doll maker has pandered to Team Jacob fans by releasing a long-awaited Jacob Black doll. And we have to say, it’s the best one, hands down.

First, the Jacob doll comes shirtless – and those six-pack abs are front and center! Second, we think the Jacob doll actually most resembles the actual actor, Taylor Lautner. The Bella doll just looks like regular Barbie with bad fashion taste. The Edward doll, well, it just doesn’t do him justice in the least.

We admit to some bias though, since we tend to have a fondness for hot guys that spend half their time on screen in very little clothing. Which one do you think is the hottest?

Oh, and before you go, in honor of the New Moon premiere being only just over a week away, we bring you a few stills from the film to lick your lips over while you wait. Click on the thumbnails to make ’em bigger. Enjoy!

Robert Pattinson Kissing Kristen Stewart at ‘New Moon’ Screening?

So Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart keep denying they are a couple. In the December issue of Vanity Fair, Pattinson flatly denies he is dating Stewart. Yet, the couple was allegedly spotted kissing before heading off to a private screening of New Moon!

Now, we take this report with a truck load of salt. Every tabloid site out there keeps trying to find some proof Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are indeed an item. (Including us, of course.) But rumor has it Pattinson and Stewart allegedly spent the night together at Chateau Marmont on Oct. 29, at least, that’s what UsMagazine.com claims.

According to an as-usual unnamed source, the Twilight stars reportedly shared breakfast together before taking off to see a private screening of New Moon. While hanging outside the studios, Pattinson and Stewart allegedly shared a bit more than conversation. “Rob wanted a cigarette so he went outside with Kristen for about 15 minutes,” the source told UsMagazine.com. “They were hugging, as Rob was smoking his cigarette and then he leaned down and kissed her on the lips. He had his arm around her almost the whole time.”

Now, honestly, even if it is true, friends do sometimes hug and kiss. And seriously, if this supposed source actually did see the couple smooching, where is the cell phone pic? You know they’ve got a cell phone!

Whether we’d like to see RPatz and KStew as a couple or not, for now we’ll take their word for it they aren’t hooking up off screen. At least, until someone out there delivers some serious photographic evidence or an on-scene report from someone with a name other than “source”!

Twilight Author Stephenie Meyer Denies Plagiarism Accusations

Twilight author Stephenie Meyer is denying accusations she stole the plot for her fourth novel Breaking Dawn from another author.

A cease and desist letter sent from author Jordan Scott to Meyer’s publisher claims the best-selling novelist plagiarized aspects of her 2006 fantasy book The Nocturne. According to Scott, Meyer stole specific pivotal scenes from her novel and used strikingly similar dialogue in Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in the mega-hit Twilight series.

A spokesperson for Stephanie Meyer released a statement to the press saying Jordan Scott’s accusations are entirely unfounded. “The claim that Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer somehow infringes on an alleged book by someone named Jordan Scott is completely without merit,” the representative told TMZ.com.

This is not the first time Stephanie Meyer has had to deal with rumors of plagiarism regarding the Twilight series. British tabloid The Sun ran a story earlier this year claiming Meyer’s former college roommate Heidi Stanton had filed a lawsuit against the Twilight author for stealing the idea for the vampire series from a short story she wrote while they were at Brigham Young University together. Production on the second film of the Twilight series, New Moon, was allegedly halted due to the claims.

However, the story was quickly shot down as a hoax by Summit Entertainment, the production company behind the Twilight films.

Twilight Actress Rachelle Lefevre Stunned Over Recasting in Third Film Eclipse

As SnarkFood.com reported yesterday, gorgeous redhead Rachelle Lefevre was suddenly replaced this week as the villainous vampire Victoria in the third Twilight film. Lefevre played evil blood-sucker Victoria in the original Twilight and the forthcoming sequel New Moon. Bryce Dallas Howard, star of such films as Spider-Man 3 and The Village, will take over for Lefevre in Eclipse, the third installment of the Twilight film series.

We thought the whole recasting of Victoria sounded a bit fishy, considering Lefevre was interviewing about her role in Eclipse just a few weeks ago. Well, turns out we weren’t the only ones surprised by the sudden move – so was, apparently, Rachelle Lefevre herself.

In a statement to the press, Rachelle Lefevre said she is “stunned” by her boot from Eclipse. Lashing out about her replacement, Lefevre said she is “deeply hurt by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me.” Furthermore, Lefevre stated she was “fully committed to the Twilight saga… I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the Twilight audience.”

As for Summit Entertainment’s claim that a “scheduling conflict” was responsible for the recasting of Bryce Dallas Howard in the role, Lefevre doesn’t get it – and neither do we. Lefevre was scheduled to do a bit of filming for the indie drama Barney’s Version. But according to Lefevre, there were only 10 days that she would not be available to shoot for Eclipse. “Never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10-day overlap,” Lefevre said. “I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.”

Summit Entertainment, put on the spot by Rachelle Lefevre’s vocal outrage over the loss of her role, shot back with a press statement to Access Hollywood that placed the blame solely on the actress. “It was not until July 20th that Summit was first informed of Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to Barney’s Version, a commitment we have since been advised she accepted in early June.”

“We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production,” the statement from Summit continued. “We at Summit Entertainment are disappointed by Rachelle Lefevre’s recent comments which attempt to make her career choices the fault of the studio.”

We’re sure that not telling your studio that you are going to be in Europe filming for someone else during the time you are supposed to be rehearsing and shooting for them is a pretty stupid move. On the other hand, Summit’s statement makes them sound a lot like a spoiled teenager pissed off that their girlfriend was caught kissing somebody else on the side.

Bryce Dallas Howard Replaces Rachelle Lefevre in Third Twilight Film ‘Eclipse’

Not all of the original cast will be showing up for Eclipse, the third installment of the mega-hit Twilight film series. No worries though, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will all be there for your drooling pleasure. But it turns out fiery redhead Rachelle Lefevre won’t be returning as naughty vampire Victoria in Eclipse. Instead, the part of the evil blood-sucker will be played by Bryce Dallas Howard.

Rachelle Lefevre played vampire Victoria in both Twilight and the forthcoming New Moon films, but apparently had a conflict with Eclipse’s shooting schedule. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lefevre gave up the third Twilight film to do an indie drama with Dustin Hoffman called Barney’s Version.

Yeah, somehow we just don’t think that was probably the wisest career move. Barney’s Version sounds like a straight-to-DVD title if I’ve ever heard one. And Eclipse really has the best bits for Victoria of all the films. Somehow we have to wonder if maybe Miss Lefevre was sniffing for a bit more moolah and got a smack-down? It seems especially odd since Lefevre was doing press for Eclipse just a few weeks ago. In an interview with the London Free Press, Lefevre notably said about the switch of directors for Eclipse: “The [Harry] Potter kids went through a director shift and they were OK, so we’ll be OK, too.”

Note the usage of the phrase, “we’ll be OK” – as in just a few weeks ago, Rachelle Lefevre seemed pretty sure she’d be on set for the filming of Eclipse.

Oh well. Rachel Lefevre certainly made a tasty Victoria and it’s usually never a good move to replace a significant cast member halfway through a series. But then again, Bryce Dallas Howard is not bad eye-candy either. But Twilight fans are a rabid bunch – and we’re thinking there are going to be a lot of folks out there a bit displeased by the switch.
